There is no such thing as 1 asterina and the fact that it was a part of one is even worse because that means it split to reproduce. They break themselves apart and spread like wild fire. They hide and camo themselves sometimes they look bluish. Usually they come out at night.

How did you get the shrimp out, because I think they are the ones doing them in.

I didn't feed the tank for a fulll day, that got them hungry (?) and I placed a water bottle trap (I used a water bottle). Had the food (bait?) in there and they went in after a couple of minutes.

You could find tutorials on google or youtube. I had to widen the opening for mine because they wouldn't "fit", they kept on stopping right by the entrance. I also had mine laying on its side because my shrimps wouldn't bother going in when it was right side up. You'll adjust it to what you see fit when you've got it in.

Should I do this?

Cut the tip of the water bottle off, fill with salt water, put mysis in, let it sink to the bottom, and place the bottle on its side in the tank? (at night of course)

Here you go. You just have to use a lil crazy glue gel or enen a piece of tape to hold the top on the bottom. Make sure you are able to remove the top so you can get whatever you catch out of the bottle lol.
