So I have installed my euroreef cs6-1 and it is way too loud for me, the sedra 5000 on it is far from quiet. I am wondering if anybody has had success with a quiet skimmer? I have heard the AquaC line are much more quiet b/c of the type of air injection system they use.
Anybody with a euroreef out there experience similar noise, or is my just an anomaly?

im using a euroreef pump assmebly on my skimmer. Itsvery quiet. You need to put a piece of rubber under the pump, a mouse pad or something and lengthen the airline itll quiet the sucktuion noise.

Also make sure you dont have the venturi on backwards

So my problem is somewhat solved. I put pieces of foam under the pump and under the skimmer body and it has drastically reduced the noise. wedfr, thanks for the idea. Reefguy, try putting foam or a sponge between the housing and the edge of your tank. might work for you too.
