Does the timer on this strip turn all the plugs on and off at the same time, or can you set eqach plug with the one timer?

Jim, the timer controls 4 of the 8 outlets. Intervals can be set in 15 minute increments and there is a switch which turns all 8 on regardless of time (sort of like an override).

I use something similar, got them from OddJob for about $5, and they work just like the ones Dean has.
Works very well and have never had a problem with them and I use every outlet and actually have them piggy backed into each other.

I also have the same one that Dean has but I haven't used it yet.

I use the cheap $5 for 2 from HD powerstrips. They don't even have circuit breakers. That's what my gfci's are for.

Sometimes I use 3-2 adapters to get the plugs up over each other.

Whao!! Not to put a damper on it guys, but daisy-chaining power strips and using 3-2 adapters is dangerous business. At least, BC you have a GFI - that is a smart move!

GFI and circuit breaker are two different types of protection, you need both on fish tanks.

Also, a 2-3 adapter on a 2-prong cable isn't doing anything more than 'Stretching' the plug a bit!

Everything that has a ground plug is grounded!
