Does anyone know of any online coral compatibility chart?

I would love to know what corals can touch or be near other corals...ie. zoas and candy canes or zoas and leathers, or torch and hammer...etc

If there is no known chart, perhaps we could create one with input from various members.

The main reason I would like this chart is b/c I have nano setups, where real estate is valuable and rare (kinda like Manhattan).

Can a brain touch a plate? Can all plates touch other plates? Can a Lobo touch a brain or plate corals?

I would love to find answers to these questions without having to find out via experiments in my tanks.
I understand that there is most likely no "absolute" answer, but a general "rule of thumb" would be very helpful.

Thanks,

Phil

Most corals shouldn't touch each especially some Lps they have very long feeder tentacles that come out mostly at night. Only corals I let touch are of the same kind just to play it safe

Phil I have my 2 hammers touch, my 2 brains touch each other and my plate with no problems, my bubble is right next to my favia colony for 4 months now, my scoly's were next to my ricordea's with no problem. Now my ricordea's are right next to my Zoa colonies with no problems. This is just me but every time i go to a fish store they always have a mish mash of corals together and everything seems fine. I think the only way you can tell is by doing it.

i just know for sure that acans can be damaged if touching other corals other than acans as i have basically put my acans next to other corals (brains, lps, etc) and have lost some heads because it got stung! anyways... good luck! best bet is to put the same species next to eachother some have better luck than others

I got 2 different species of frog spawns together and there fine, I have a huge ultra clam touching a wellsphilia(I spelled that wrong) and its fine, a lobo touched my acan colony and killed half of the colony. That was an accident the snails helped out with that one. lol

If frogspawn touches hammer coral will it sting it?
That should be fine.

I think that softies are generally ok with other softies. It is when you get to LPS/SPS corals that the issue really comes up.

I had a plate touch a chalice recently and the chalice was damaged, plate was unhappy but intact.

rokie u really never know i think some corals grow immune to some others cause i have some corals that touch and they are still growing and doing fine and i also have some corals even of the same species and they dont get along next to each for example i have a chalice that wipe out 2 chalice next to it and i was under the impression that since they chalice they have to get along
