I got these as "hitchhikers" on some live rock.
One looks like a Zoa, but I'm not sure. I don't think it is aptasia. I hope!

The other looks like a mushroom? It seems to have some small hair on it, kind of like peach fuzz. Also lately, it has started to form some tube like things, maybe feather dusters? I have some on the bottom of that piece of live rock, they have red fans that come out.
On this mushroom like thing, i notice a lot of little bugs that i see running around on it. I believe they are Copepods.
One other thing this mushroom like thing does is bubble. Odd i know, it takes a few days to cycle, one day i will notice a small bulge coming off of it, few days later its gone and maybe doing the same thing somewhere else on it. It certainly looks alive.

So the question is, what are these, and are they bad?
Glad to answer any other questions to qualify these.

Thanks!

first pic looks like a sponge 2nd pic looks like a bad manjo

What kind of sponge and is it bad? Will it get bigger and take over the tank?

What is manjo? I googled it and can not find it anywhere. Will it spread?
I have two of them in my tank. One on each piece of live rock I acquired that day.

So I got the two majanos out and put them in a QT I setup. Was curious to see if it spreads. I was also trying to get one of those bastards off my rock! No luck. Thinking of drilling it out. Tried to cut piece off with a saw but that rock is pretty damn hard.

I can live with a positive ID on the white ball sponge. I moved it a little bit out of lights way and in a high flow area. So I'll see what that does in time.
Thanks!

What kind of saw did you use??? Best bet to cut rock is with a Dremel like took and a cut off blade (small disc).

I don't have a dremel. I would have used the circular cutting bit if I had one. Instead I was attempting to use a small hand hacksaw. It was difficult to penetrate much so I instead threw the 1lb LR into my interim QT. Like I said I was thinking of just drilling the little bastard out. I'm actually surprised it's still alive as I was going at it with a pair of needle nose pliers!
Are there any known harmful chemicals/toxins these mojanos produce when threatened? Should I be as cautious as I would be with say a zoa?
