Just saw this thread. It is not ich but lymph.

It will fall off and is not contagious. I have seen LFS pluck these things off the fish as well.
Yeah strange but I have seen it being done.

Maybe a fresh water dip will help also.

Good Luck

Hi, whats is the progress with the diseases?
Wish I knew more of its signs and fish's symptoms to make a diagnosis but,
In my humble opinion, its looks like Ich. I have same "thing" going on with my fish. with One fish that has both ich and lymph. The reason I'm leaning more towards ich is because you state that the spots on the fins are translucent. If it was lymph, then it would have stayed visible while growing like a cauliflower.
Well, since you have been treating it over a week, can you update us with signs and symptoms again? if its gone? we know that it's ich, if its still there then its lymph bc its more difficult to treat.

The did go translucent, but today came back to being like in the picture. Not any worse. I have been feeding the Dr G's food. But now it wont eat it for some reason. First few days at it like crazy, but now will pick at a few pieces.

I will try to keep this thread updated. I will also try to shoot a few more pics tomorrow. Lights are out now.
