Snail/ slug like creature?

This morning I woke up to a snail like creature with no shell on my glass. The lights were still off but it was there clear as day. Would really like to kno what this is. As soon as I turned the lights on to snap a photo it rapidly retreated to a small piece of live rock, to do what it seemed to be sucking itself into the rock . It was about 1-1 1/2 when flat out. No shell , grayish in color with a ridge doen it's entire body . Here is the best picture I could get . The closest thing I found was the Stomatella snail oz help

Sounds like a Polyclad Flatworm (Google for pics). If that's the case get it out ASAP.

Just got rid of a polyclad, grayish with spots and moves crazy fast and only comes out at night and feeds on zoas and clams , get to that piece of live rock and scape him off or you may be upset if you don't !

Oh my I think it is a polyclad flatworm!!! It's almost identical , how can I go about getting it out?! I saw the rock it crawled into but when I removed the rock it wasn't there. It seemed to go into the rock somehow. Is it dangerous to touch? What do you guys recommend I do?! Thanks in advance!!

They hide so well, that unless you no for a fact what rock it is in, you'll never randomly find it. When I had one, i syphoned it off a rock when it was moving.

For the record, ive never heard that they eat zoas, just smaller snails and maybe clams.

I can live with it eating my snails but I am worried if indeed they do eat zoas that it will eat my scarface zoa.... This is going to be a project ... Do you think if I put a snail in a bottle it'll come after it?

don't know about zoa's but the polyclad flatworms do eat clams....check out the pic and the vdo.

they are nasty. if you can remove the rock that it hides in.....dip it in bucket with coral rx, shake it around until it emerges, take out the rock and pour super saturated kalk solution on the mofo. re-dip the rock a few more times in case there are more....which is very likely in which case i would either chuck the rock or cook it. i would snoop around (a few times a week for several weeks)with a flashlight a couple of hours after the lights turn off to check for more.
