Any idea what this could be? The vendor I bought it from assumed it was some sort of paly, but I'm not too sure about it. It picks up sand on the side of its stalk like a paly will, but it moved from being wedged in between the rock & plug last night to on top of the zoas today. I thought it kind of looked like a Duncan, but as far as I can tell I don't see a skeleton. Does this info put it in some class of anemone?

Sorry for the triple photos, I was trying to upload from my phone.

It totally moved about 1/2" from one spot to another from yesterday to today. I wasn't sure if it was a possibly walking dendro or something like that as I just heard about those recently. It sure is pretty - especially under blue lights, but my zoas aren't happy about it. If I were to isolate it to its own rock, would I still need to be concerned about it taking over - if it is indeed a majano?

Omg. A LFS sold you this? I would scoop him up asap, frag plug, zoas, sand, etc and dump it all!
Maybe that's a bit extreme but like previous poster says, if you take precautions, you can salvage the zoa's. Just be careful and avoid toxins. That means, eyeglasses, facemask, and gloves!

Well I was able to gently dislodge him with my trusty reef toothbrush. :) Hopefully no harm done. Anyone want him? It's easy to see how he could have been mistaken as a paly.
