Worm?

Last night I discovered something in my tank too large to have been hidden in or on anything that I have recently added to my tank. So suspect it has been living in there for quite some time. Below are links to a dark, blurry video and the only still photo that I was able to capture. As you will see in the video the thing pops-up about 1.5" out of my sand bed and releases a cloud of something (I don't know if it's spawning or sh--ting). Any ideas? See below:

I am familiar with bristle worms. This thing did not have bristles, so I don't think so.
