Help with ID...

I got this guy on a piece of rock yesterday. I believe it is a majano anemonia but would like confirmation. It moved from one side of the rock to the back overnight.

If I take the rock from the tank and pull the majano, will it grow back like a shroom? or should I get joes juice asap tomorrow?

Apparently it's difficult to kill from what I've read. Must be like the "THING". One little cell is enough to take over and spread.

It was purchased at Country Critters in Patchogue. It was actually on the back of a favia coral I traded for, didnt see it in the tank.

really i always thought that was a good place to purchase things from. i live in huntington and always drive out there to look at the stuff they have when ever im out there.

joes juice will knock it out in a second. heard also stuff like injecting boiling hot water and all sorts of home made recipes on the net. funny actually, when i first got into tanks i was at my lfs and i saw a rock covered w aptasia and i thought it looked so pretty. i didnt understand why the owner looked at me like i had 5 heads when i wanted to buy it. but he didnt say anythin and i bought it. 3 weeks later i had a very pretty aiptasia farm growing. def get rid of it asap.

You can get aptaisia and mojanos from any fish store if your not careful. It happens to the best of us. unless you always buy dead rock.

use boiling water and needle. make sure you melt it, squirt it directly into the mouth until it turn white
