The issue of wholesalers is a touchyone ... I for one feel that my sources are my most important resouce, and a key to out competing my competion.. Do a search on the net. Get FAMA Mag and Thats a good place to start. Miami is most likely your closest source and therefore cheapest air fare I would think.. Please dont take the lack of responses to your guestion..........i

Yes we are open , not fully .....but open just the same ... The 1ooo gallon show tanks are being built by Tencor and we are getting more stuff in each week,still have a long way to go, to get the store up to full steam ...........with this steam I can then make coffee ?......Cappuccino Bay aquarium?

Thanks for the replies, well exactly the reply. To continue the discussion maybe there isn't quality wholesaller around the industry. There had been severals similars posts here and no one has been answered.

I am no longer active in the industry so i have no qualms sharing this top secret information to wholesalers. In all actuality none of it is really secret and you can find ALOT of these guys trying to get your attention in FAMA. To name a few, Sea dwelling creatures, ERI international, Dynasty marine, golden generation, cosmopolitan fish and there are some others I won't mention because they blow or I haven't dealt w/ them. The first 2 I'm sure have websites and i am only listing the ones that cater to all general marine life, others specialize in areas specific geographies like Dynasty does mostly Atlantic and East Pacific marine life. No Joke, pick up a FAMA and you will find so many ads you won't know where to start.

Marine Specialties is a very good wholesaler, as is Cortez Marine. Contact Mary Middlebrook at [email protected] (www.reefsource.com)and/or Steve Robinson at [email protected] Segrest farms is another. There is also Quality Marine. Sea Dwelling is also a good one.
I don't know how you define the best. Do you want cheapest or healthiest?


If you want cultured clowns and psuedos, etc contact Vince Rado at ORA in Ft. Pierce, Fl or C-Quest which is in your country. FAMA has lots of leads also.

8O Well, that is a deep, simple question. Like the others have said, FAMA is full of people wanting your business. What they don't tell & what I really want to know is which ones are catering to i-net & mail order companies. I seriously doubt that these comanies are building livestock holding facilities, shipping in, unbagging, feeding, re packing, & shipping fish to retail customers. I think that these companies are being catered to by one or more wholesalers & competing w/ their LFS's for business. I don't have my spy film back in yet but, the way business works I suspect this being done on a pretty big scale. Anybody hate me yet?
