Invert collection in Indonesia

My impression from a recent trip and lots of discussions in-country is that the collection of soft corals and anemones for the aquarium industry in Indonesia (esp. South Sulawesi) is totally out of control, unregulated, and totally unsustainable. Any thoughts?

While it wouldn't surprise me to hear anemone collection was unsustainable, I would suspect soft corals can come back rather quickly. Most are easily propagated and often leaving just a little tissue behind will result in a regrown animal. Are you sure you didn't mean anemones and large polyp stony corals?
