I grew up in North Carolina, about 55 mintues north of MB. Florida is for sure not the south, unless your west of I-95, then sometimes you run into some natives.
I've not been to Ripleys in a long time, when they first opened they just dumped the fish in with the water and everything. Fish looked horrible for many years. I have to admit that I am quite the aquarium snob, most do nothing for me, esp the bus them in and out types. For Profit aquariums generally don't educate as well as non-profit set ups, and they tend to have plenty of the big fish that don't impress me very much. I love to see, well done, locally themed aquariums. Drive up to Fort Fisher sometime, its not a huge aquarium but its very well done, with a great staff and one of the best educating aquariums.
