I'm looking for a large quantity to fill a 60 gallon sump and buying it handful by handful is much to painful. I'm wondering if any wholesale places in Los Angeles sell large quantities of macro algae. I have a resellers permit and everything from my other businsses I can use.

Why dont you just purchase a couple handfuls like you have already done, throw a light on the sump and in a month or so you will have 60 gallons of algae.

It's going to be hard to find. Fish and Wildlife have been cracking down on companies that sell caulerpa. It is illegal in California to have, or sell. This doesnt mean Calif. hobbyists arent trading it under the table like contraband or anything... ;)

You can look up your local club and see if anyone has some.

You should be able to get quantity of gracilaria from someone or grow it out quickly yourself. It does require maintenance once it takes off as it can choke itself out. I beleve Reed Mariculture is growing quantity of G. robusta but I don't know what the pricing might be. They're around Sacramento.-Jim
