This is one outcome that I have been fighting for 7 years to accomplish. It may not be directly involved with the Marine keeping hobby but it could have a possitive impact in time if other island nations follow it.

On August 23 2012 the American Samoa Government Banned the importation of all soaps and detergents that contain phosphates this action will help reduce the stress being placed upon the coral reefs by reducing harmful Algae blooms that have been overgrowing and killing the corals. I hope this action taken will be noticed and followed throughout the Pacific.

Happy Reef Keeping

As soon as I get the land based coral farm running off 100% solar power.
Otherwise all I have is a bunch of zoanthids I can send out.

We have no good location for a deep lagoon coral farm so all the cool stuff needs to be done on land in controled environment.
Problem is Power cost here is .47/kwh
