My Alk went down dramatically as did my calcium; so I mixed some dkh buffer in some frsh water. I thought I had mixed it well; well I add it to my tank and some chunks of the white stuff fell on my open brain, all of a sudden it shrunk right up with its mouths all open and some kind of white residue is on it where there buffer came in contact. Is the brain dead? or is going to die now? I'm a big idiot.

It will probably be ok, it got shocked and probably won't expand fully for at least a few days...but a little buffer shouldn't kill an otherwise healthy coral. I used to use seachem reef builder and that stuff NEVER dissolved all the way...I'd get little white chunks floating around the tank, some of the corals' polyps retracted but there was no harm done...
