Which will hinder light passage more?

Glass or acrylic? I want to remove the top on my 24 nano, in order to make way for a clip on mh. However i want to slow the rate of evaporation as much as possible. I do plan on beveling/angling the front corners to allow air flow. I'm also planning on adding ato, just dont want to have to fill the resevoir every 2 days for a nano.

Ken the acrylic will haze faster than the glass will between the MH and salt creep.

Im wondering if theres a special glass say starfire or low iron glass, which will allow more spectrum to pass through.
