How to properly frag War Coral?

I have a War Coral Colony that's now growing onto a rock that has sps on it. It killed off my red planet & is quickly approaching my millies....
would I be able to use a scalpel under the water to cut and lift the war coral off of the sps rock?
or should I basically let it take over that center piece show rock and cut off the sps colonies that are thriving on that rock?

I dont think a scalpel will work. From what I've read, most people frag'em by cutting the coral with a dremel or tile saw.

Band saw or diamond tipped dremel cutting wheel. Try and go around the heads themselves. Dip it afterwards in sometging along the lines of coral restor or coral amino by brightwell.

Get a dermal and cut it from the bottom 90% through then break off
