Baby frogspawn

I know of my frogspawn growing heads but this is new to me. My spawn has grown over 50 heads in the past. Now im down to 5. But now there is a new baby frog growing off the side of rock. How does this happen? Piece falls off frog and starts growing alone? It has its own tiny skeleton/base growing. Here's a pic. Sorry not that great of a shot. It's dead center

i have a bicolor frogspawn that periodically drops little heads.
