hi all
just wondering if the red open brain corals are agressive stingers like a bubble or an elegance. also, what is a good distance, in ratio to coral size, to keep them away from other corals? if a coral would get stung, will there be a grace period in which i will be able to take action to save the stung coral?
thanx

I have never seen an open brain coral sting anything but its food. The tentacles are relatively short, and I have never seen any that I would call "sweepers".

I have always kept other corals inches away (or closer), and have never had any problems.

The bubble should be on the other side of the glass from the other corals.

I haven't had much experience with Elegance, the only one I have gotten in crumbled because I had it under too much current (I think).

The bubble needs about 6" around it, depending on the size of the coral. They have sneaky nighttime tentacles, and will surprise you by inflating around the tentacles while the bubbles are deflated.
