  1. can a reverse flow can stop hydrogen sulphide

Wet/Dry filters are excellent for a Fish Only system, but are terrible for reef systems. Spend a week or so reading online before deciding how to set up the tank & purchasing the equipment. The info and suggestions here are much more up to date.
  2. *HIGH* head pump

You could also install a doggie door, put the pump outside and a put pool pump cover it. :)
  3. *HIGH* head pump

I'd be interested to see if there's another large submersible pump besides the Mag24... I can't think of one, though. Look at the external GRI pumps. They are small, very powerful and extremely reliable, but are electricity vampires. If the sides of the sumps are angled, you might be able to...

What kind? Do you have any links?
  7. New tank specs for 215 gallon

Sounds like a great tank! Do you like your selection of lighting? For my 5' long 175g tank, I just ordered two RO3s with 250w XDE bulbs, and plan on a third when I can afford it. Also do you have your streams on the controller, or do they run continuously? Looking forward to the pics...
  8. July Reflector Comparison - Another Experiment?

Sanjay & Timothy: Another excellent article! Thank you for analyzing the new PFO fixture, which appears to be a significant improvement over their original design. And I'm happy to see the caveat regarding substitution of a 250w DE for a 400w fixture. Perhaps this will cool off or prevent...

and you get to learn how to drill a tank. if you mess up and it cracks, well, a 20g long isn't too expensive, but the drill bit may be. let us know how it goes. i have a 120g tank that i'm afraid to drill.

  11. Aqua-C vs Euro-Reef

I'm setting up a 100g reef/fish mixed tank. It will probably have a 3"-4" DSB, and probably an above-average bio-load. I want my reef and fish too. I'm deciding between an Aqua-C EV180 and a Euro-Reef CS6-1. I can get the Euro-Reef for about $60 less (the cost of the pump), and I've been...
  12. skimmer replacement (let the battles begin)

And I'm looking for a skimmer for my 100g tank. Basically, I want a skimmer that is as low maintenance as possible (and can be fit with a collection bottle if necessary), and doesn't require constant supervision. I've heard the stories of skimmers requiring re-tuning weekly, and requiring...
