  2. Little Clownfish #$!@

So I decided that it was finally time to get my tomato clown an anemone to host in. Of course this was after much $$ updating the lights and adding a few other things to the tank to make it suitable for a BTA. I ordered a BTA and after acclimating it, into the tank it went. Within about 20...

  4. snail thingie

PS, if I don't have to kill it, I think I'll call him/her Squishy.........
  5. snail thingie

I came in tonight and noticed something that looked like a slug on the glass of my tank. Its about .75" long and a very light brown color. It looks like a snail but without his shell. By that I mean its mouth and eyes look like a snails but instead of a shell, its got a small hump on its back...
  6. Live rock suppliers

ya, it took me a couple of times (using a pseudonym ) to get a shipping amount. It was about $15 for 8lbs of rock which is pretty good. Seems a little too good to be true on the price, but thats why I decided to check before I bought. I'll probably go with another supplier just to be safe...

  10. Worm thingies

I'm pretty sure they aren't flat worms and I know they aren't tubeworms, they move way to much. I think they might be "baby" bristleworms, some of the larger ones appear to be getting a bit of segementation to them. I saw a bristleworm last week and today crawling across the glass, in the middle...
  11. Worm thingies

Hey, I noticed little white worms on the front glass of my tank. They are all white, approx. .5-1cm long and very very thin. They seem to be only on the glass, mostlyon the front and towards the top. Haven't noticed any on my shrooms, or xenia or polyps for that matter. This is in my 6...
  12. Good use for Pics

Just as side note, some of these pics make great windows desktop wallpaper. I put a macro of some green zooanthids that looks unbelievable. Now I can look at it all day :D Thanks for the eyecandy people.
  13. Zoanthids are they toxic?

Actually another correction to the toxin comment, Botulism is indeed the most potent toxin, not the fastest , but potent. A pint is way too much, one gram is enough to kill about 1 billion people 8O , it takes a few molecules of the stuff to block the release of acetylcholine at the...
  14. What are your TDS readings of RO water??

Got the same TDS meter, but my RO/DI unit was from AQR. The TDS meter read 0-1 PPM, you might need to change one of your membranes. Just a guess though
  15. Help, air stuck in clown?

I had to true Percs that would do the same thing. They always stayed at the top of the tank and seemed to bob around. They did this for several years so I doubt that there was air stuck there. The tanks was FOWLR so they didn't have a host to chill in, so I suspect they chose the top corner of...
