The heat will be pretty much the same. The 10,000K Bluelines are VERY blue, more like 12,000K. If that is the effect you want, go for it. Just remember, they will not be as bright. Basil63

My Ecosystem refugium came with a Jali 13 watt light. I boosted it to 64 watt PC(2X32 W). I've got 3 kinds of Caulerpa growing in it. 24/7 works well for me. Basil63

I've never been able go get rid of surface scum with power heads. The only ways I've been able to get rid of it, were using an Eheim canister with a scum sucker attatchment, or by using an add-on overflow to a sump/refugium. Basil63
