1. copper, hyposalinity, or garlic?

I have a Powder Blue that has been doing well for almost a year but he now has ick. He is still eating well but the spots appear to be getting worse. I have a 20g tank I could use to try and treat with copper or hyposalinity but would need to catch him plus 2 percs and a bicolor to clear the...
2. Powder Blue Tang

I agree, although it is a beautiful fish, you will feel very bad watching this fish waste away and die. Do the right thing and return the fish. When you upgrade to the 100gal, make this fish your prize of the tank. It will love the space as long as you have lots of rock and water movement...
3. mine looks just like this.....

I think it does but it is a little sick and does not open as much as it did initially. I'm going to move it away from the lights to see if it is more happy. Do you feed your hairy shrooms? What do they like?
4. mine looks just like this.....

Can you help identify this? Is it a hairy shroom? Ricordia? other? The one I have is starting to look a little sick and I wanted to see what to do to nurse back to health. Thanks in advance. [ April 05, 2002: Message edited by: Kole ]

I would like some comments on how you boost/maintain the KH in your tank. I currently use the B-ionic 2 part system and also add Reef Builder to try and boost my KH. The current KH reading is 8 (satisfactory) but I'm dosing every day. I also don't want to impact my pH too much by adding...
6. Ricordia (should it stay or go)

Just got a green "hairy mushroom" from a friend on a swap but then ID'd the shroom as a "Ricordia". Do I want this in my reef tank? Is it OK or should I consider it a nuisance that will spread like a weed or become an unwanted pest (ex. aptasia). Thanks!
7. Fraging Red Mushrooms

Kool, I will give it a try.
8. Fraging Red Mushrooms

I have a number of Red Mushrooms and they grow very quickly. However, I was curious if it is possible to force them to split. I have heard that you can try cutting them with a sharp blade. Anybody have comments or suggestions?
9. how to control Green Star Polyps

Let me know if you have some excess you would like to sell/trade. St. Louis [ March 22, 2002: Message edited by: Kole ]
