I agree, although it is a beautiful fish, you will feel very bad watching this fish waste away and die. Do the right thing and return the fish. When you upgrade to the 100gal, make this fish your prize of the tank. It will love the space as long as you have lots of rock and water movement...

I think it does but it is a little sick and does not open as much as it did initially. I'm going to move it away from the lights to see if it is more happy. Do you feed your hairy shrooms? What do they like?

Just got a green "hairy mushroom" from a friend on a swap but then ID'd the shroom as a "Ricordia". Do I want this in my reef tank? Is it OK or should I consider it a nuisance that will spread like a weed or become an unwanted pest (ex. aptasia). Thanks!

I have a number of Red Mushrooms and they grow very quickly. However, I was curious if it is possible to force them to split. I have heard that you can try cutting them with a sharp blade. Anybody have comments or suggestions?
