  1. Bristleworm?

After a week or so, I'm begining to see many more of these guys on the glass, especially after the lights go out. They are also free swiming, and then swim all over the tank. They vary in length from 1/8 of an inch to 3/4 of an inch.
  2. Bristleworm?

Thanks much! ...time to do more research.
  3. Bristleworm?

Ok, I came home tonight when the lights were out, and caught this guy going down the glass. He's about 1/2 inch long, and this shot is the best I could take. It's got legs and antenna. It moves pretty fast. I turned the lights on just to get a clearer shot of it. 'Anyone know what it...

So, after 12 days of ROing, here are the results of the filters. There was no way we were going to wait 6 months, per manufacturer's suggestion to change them out! 8O

fwiw, http://www.marinedepotlive.com/marinede ... 03574.html But your points are well taken. We've got this guy in our 55g tank, which has been up for more than a year now. We also have a red serpent, and green brittle stars, which are fed regularly, and are extremly healthy. Thanks for...
  8. blue linkia starfish deflating

Thanks tackett. The temp and gravity was identical to what was at the LFS. We asked regarding that too. We did research before we purchased. Linkias are algae eaters, no? Also, it's not like the serpents... it appears to move very slowly. Not disagreeing.. just asking more questions, thats...
  9. blue linkia starfish deflating

We purchased a blue linkia starfish about 3 days ago. We did the proper acclimation, and today it looks deflated. Has this happened to anyone, and is normal? If not, what to do?
  10. RO/DI filter replacement question.

We got the TDS meter in the mail, and here are the results: Tap Water: 215 PPM RO Water: 000 PPM. (We thought the TDS Meter was broken when we tried the RO water first.) At least we know our 6 stage filter is working!! Bad news is, those filters cost about $40.00 to change out! 8O Any...
  11. RO/DI filter replacement question.

OK good. This is what we are using as well.. a 6-stage include DI. We are also thinking about putting on a water purifier for the entire plumbing, hopefully it would be cheaper in the long run than to replace these filters every week! 8O
  12. RO/DI filter replacement question.

Same here. Waiting on the new filters, the one thats in use now is a brown paper bag color. :(
  13. RO/DI filter replacement question.

How many stages of filters do you have?
