Wow, that is amazing shutting down your whole system for a seahorse tank. They are cool tanks but nothing compared to a living and thriving reef. And you have been doing it for so many years, don't you find you've lost something?

Ok what about maximas? So it sounds like I could get away with 250w, but is this really the right choice? I am wondering if their will be better colours in a clam comming from a 400w bulb vs a 250w bulb. Also I want to keep sps too, so that is something to keep in mind.

Ya I think it was worth it, whatever this fish is its probably not to commen and you can say you have something like that in your tank. It most likely will be hiding so it won't cause much trouble....

EmilyB, thanks for the offer I just may do that some time.. I believe there are more reffers in Calgary than there is in Edmonton. Where do you shop for your lr? And so far so good lots of comments here about tangs.

Sounds like everyone is happy with their tangs! Tangs are by far the best reef fish in my opinion, despite their proness to ich. But other than that what more could you want you get awesome colours and their ususally peaceful fish. ChumbawambaMan I would love to see pictures of that little...

Mine would have to be the blue hippo tang. There is no other fish like it with that wonderful blue.

Slime Coat I know this is off topic but do you notice distorion with the corner bowfront tank? And how much space is on the bottem of your tank is their lots of room for a sump, skimmer etc...

Yup I would suspect it could be one of those fish, they both are not "completely' reef safe. And you also mention here that they were just recently added, I would say the odds are against the fish. But then again you never know...

One mh?! They must not be to wide, how wide is yours JimM? Don't they say one mh light every two feat, that seems about right on a bowfront. You must have awesome depth can you describe it?

I assume the calcium reactors are very good as well. I havn't heard one bad thing about the skimmers yet. Fishpoo did you get the pump that is recommended for your skimmer? I am wondering if I should get that one or another.
