when i first set up my small tank i had apatasia appearing here and there and got 2 pepps they have gone but occasionally one pops up before being devoured. i was told when i bought them they probably wont exhaust all apatasia otherwise they would have no food source.
you can buy booster pumps mate to increase your water pressure. you can buy them from osmotics.co.uk or at least you used to be able to. apparently your tds will be unstable until you get enough pressure pushing through and your filter will exhaust quicker.

hi got a perc to go with my other one about 5 weeks ago and over the last 2/3 week its grown a beard lumpy and white right on its chin, its still swimming and eating fine all para's are fine too.
the tank has been running about 8 weeks and everything was cycled prior to setup as it was...

ran a search on google and your right, going off the images i found the exact same on another site and it does eat soft corals, any ideas on how to get it out.

its bright white at first i thought it was an anemone but it was moving to fast, it is about 2-3" long and 3/4" wide has frills all they way down each side and its tail end tapers...
just to add, could lighting not be the problem as i know colt corals are a fairly low light coral and mine starts to retract after about 9 hours under triple t5's ( about 15" under surface), i used to have a nano with a single 50/50 light and the colt was fine but once i moved to my current tank...
