I pulled most of it out by hand. Then I added a sailfin tang and it all went away. I got a hair algae problem added a kole and some scarlets and that too went away.
I agree with Louey. Razor blades are the best for glass. I have three of the kent marine pro scrapers all which I put in the stainless steel blades in. I have every kind of magnet glass cleaner. A few of which picked up sand and scratched my glass. The first time I used pro scrapers my wife said...
Spend the money and fix it right. You'll try many cheap ways which may or may not work and you'll end up spending the money for a chiller any way. My tank is always 79.6 it never changes. I'm running 2 400 watt MH 6" off the water.

I have a 110 reef.
I run two 400 watt 65K bulbs along with PCs and actinics.
My sump is a 40 gallon acrylic tank that I sectioned off into a refugium.
Return pump. I use a Iwaki MD-70RTL, and I have a 3/4" sea swirl.
My chiller is a 1/5hp. I would get a 1/4 because there not that much...
I have these pesky rock anemomes that have spread all over the rocks in my tank. I tried injecting them with kalk and they come back the next day. Is there a fish that will eat these?
If you haven't already tryed it. I would recommend NO CYA NO. I tried it and almost quit using it halk way through. I followed instructions and I thought things were getting worse. Then on day 6 the slime started melting away. My tanks been clear ever since.
I had the same problem recently. Try NO CYA NO from pet wharehouse. I followed the insructions exactly. I almost stoped after a week because I thought it was getting worse. Then all of a sudden it started going away until it was all gone. I put my carbon back in and turned my skimmer back on and...
I had a green and white candy can which seemed to be doing very well. Last two weeks it turned almost white. It still looks fine besudes it lack of color. Any ideas why it did this?
