    Imo if the problem wasn't here then don't bring it here. Wherever the original issue was, is where it should have been handled. As the op said...sometimes it needs to be said blatantly...your right, then say it to the original problem person. Been on this forum for a long time and never once...

    Marine depot has a refractometer for $40. Calibration fluid will run u another $10 or so. Calibrating is easy as using a few drops of the calibrating fluid and turning a little screw. Takes all of 45 seconds...I do it every month or 2 and its usually not far off. Spend the few extra bucks...

    T5/led come in a combination fixture, where u can mount a led fixture in the middle of the t5 bulbs. Pretty expensive though.

    2 hydras probably not enough for a 6' long tank. Have to consider the the depth of the tank too..want good light coverage to the bottom of the tank as well. Was considering changing from fowlr to reef and upgrading my lighting on a 125. Was thinking about a t5/led fixture.
