Hey guys i picked up a 50 gal acrylic breeder. I what to drill the tank & install a overflow to make take reef ready, however i don't know of anyone that sells them seperately. Does anyone know where i can attain such a thing? Your help is greatly appreciated.

how deep is your tank? i would say u should not have a problem keeping xenia,sarcophytons,sinularia (softies), mushrooms, & button polyps. Pending on depth of tank & placement where LPS would be u should be able to keep some of the brain corals & anchor or hammer euphillia corals.

also it depends on how u want the tank to look. I feel can never have enough LR. It depends on the size for your tank. if u find larger piece with alot of holes in them u would u less. DOes that make sense?

Yes u can put LR in large tubs or even heavy duty garbage can(plastic). They main thing u need it an airstone in the water so any of the life on the rock will survive. i would also feed the LR wih a little fish food to keep the little bristleworms , antropods, copopods etc. alive.

It is bad due to the fact that they are not found in these waters. The can cause alot of havioc since they dont have any natural predators. Then u get people like PETA saying people should keep fish due to lack of responsiblity of human be neglectful towards the animals & try to have fish...

Are u talking about the "wave maker thing they make? U cannot dial it down it only has one freq. I saw one of these at the IMAC confrence out in CHicago. It is a cool concept. They had this in a 90 gal setup. the corlas were going crazy back & forth way to fast. They went swaying naturally...

If u have a ca reactor u running u dont hav e to put anything else into the tank. WHne u do a saltwater change u will be adding elements into the tank anyway. it is just a waste of money. esspeically if u use a foam refractor/ protein skimmer. 8)

YEah do a search for durso standpipe. they work great. reduce sound by 80%. he only thing is theyre is a small hole which will needed to be drilled at the top u need to clean it periodiaclly with a toothpick due to salt creep build-up.

gravity fed is the best. u shouldnt have to worry about air bubbles coming into tank from refugium via gravity fed. The turnover of volume should be slow in the refugium. so there wont be any bubbles coimg into the tank.

I think u should go with a six line wrasse (Pseudocheilinus hexataenia) they are great. I would do one of them with either a neon goby or a fire fish. Bojangles why would u tell a person to put a centropyge sp angel into a 20 gal tank? That is too small for them. They are a geat fish too...
