Is the tank near a window? Direct sunlight can play a major role in algae issues. If not check phosphates. Also some good advice with snails, get yourself a good clean up crew. Good luck

How far is the move? I moved my system to long Island from staten island in early March. In a snow storm. Lol we had a plan & stuck to it, I think that's the key. Started at 6am finished about 5pm. That was with breakdown, driving & Re build My move went well, didn't loose anything at all.

Try to stay away from anything to small. Most people who have nano size reefs are a bit more experienced, due to the fact that if something starts going wrong in the water column it's gonna go wrong fast.
