I run the same exact coarlife unit that you described on my 55. I don't know much about the param's of the light, but as soon as my actinic comes on my both torch and my xenia respond to it and are almost completely open when the 10k comes on. So my geuss would be that it must count towards...

If I'm not mistaken, I think that your synthetic salt mix should take care of the ph. I use RO/DI water for all my changes and feeding, and never use buffers always have 8.1 to 8.2 readings.

When we had problems with our coral beauty we used crushed garlic, instead of garlic extreme or whatever. Anyway our Xenia started to shrivel up and even lose some of its "hands" when we tested our PH it was down to 7.8 :roll: brought it back up to 8.2 and a couple days later the Xenia...

We have had really good luck with ours (Tap Water Filter) Our diatom has pretty much vanished and all we did was just start doing water changes with it! Also we bought a white sleeper goby and he keeps the sand looking great!

Hi Everybody! We bought a xenia about two weeks ago. Everything was going ok until today we woke up and he was missing? Found him under some rock. He let go of the piece of live rock he was attached to when we bought him. Now he is too light to stay put. Any suggestions as what to do to...

I agree with brandon. I always use rubbing alcholol on anything electrical that needs to be cleaned. Water, on the otherhand shouldn't be used, it'll most likely cause more problems.

If you are not too attached to the damsles, just take them back to the LFS. We had four (2 domino, three stripe, and a blue devil). While they are neat looking fish, we added a coral beauty, three times as big as them, they tourmented the heck out of him 8O We had to remove all the rockwork...

Also if you move the rockwork around and stir up the sand, as we did to catch our damsels, You may as well start over :?
