Just acquired a couple of awsome looking crocea clams. In doing some research I came across a comment on placing the clams on a hard substrate. Should I avoid placing them on sand on the bottom of my tank? Or should I place on my live rock? Any input would be appreciated.

Snowmansnow, They don't appear to move, I noticed them a couple of weeks after I put it in my tank. I've had the frogspawn for over a month and seems to be doing ok. I will check it out today to see if the growths are hard or soft.

Mihai, thanks for the reply. I am looking at what appears(to me anyway) to be two separate things. 1) the round white barrel shaped object with a hole at the tip and 2) white stringy wormy looking stuff.

What are the orange growths? They've been there awhile.
