  1. your opinion on the best clown's??

I love my ocellaris clowns. They always have great color and are very active. I like the look of maroons, but sometimes they get ugly as they age. Not to mention, they grow large. I saw an extremely large pair at my lfs. The female was about 6 inches long.
  2. Who Has 4 110W VHO On 55G

I run that combo on a 100 gallon. I use 2 URI Actinics and 2 $4.95 GE Daylight Ultras. I have changed the Daylight Ultras after 6 mos and have had no problems. I have SPS, LPS, and a clam. However, aside from the LPS and a porite that came with my live rock, everything has been captive bred...

  4. Frogspawn not eating....

The branching corals in my tank don't eat large food particles. The ones that i own have tiny mouths. Only the large mouth corals eat food particles in my tank. Try phytoplankton.

  7. Fin Re-Growth

My purple tang will heal split fins in less than 24 hours. It takes him about 48 hrs to grow back notched out areas.
  8. Too soon to add mandarin?

EmilyB, What are your tank specs, I have considered adding a pair of Mandarins. Esmithiii, Judging from your specs, you should be able to support a pair of them, but make sure that you do not have any anemones, nor any fish that might compete with them.
  9. About to Give Up !

Do you have any sea cucumbers or sea apples?
  10. school time

If you don't have too many fish, a group of three hippo tangs may school. I have a school of chromis, and sometimes wish they were more colorful.
  11. Mushrooms

Many mushroom species only exhibit bright colors (metallic blue, green, etc.) when exposed to bright actinic light.
  12. Got the crap shocked out of me last night, it was worth it.

highrpm, You didn't happen to wake up this morning with several unexplainable powers i.e. ability to attract metal objects, superhuman strength, or the ability to turn green when angered?
  13. SKIMMING ?????

try going for the middle of the road. Use a skimmer that is well proven and easy to maintain, but underrated for your system.
  14. Remora Pro skimmer sucks!

I agree with npaden. Most likely your bioload is too low for this skimmer. I believe your tank isn't producing enough waste for the skimmer to pick up, or you are not breaking the skimmer's operational threshold. Swith the skimmers. Put the Remora on your Tflotor's system.
  15. 75 vs 90?

Get the biggest tank you can. I purchased a 100 gallon thinking that it was way too large. Now I am considering a 180 in a few years. The extra height from a 90 will give you more staging areas for your corals, i.e. you will be able to keep a larger range (shrooms on the bottom, stonie on top)
