Check for Pyramid snails around the new growth area of the shell, they look like small grains of rice and can kill a clam fast if not monitored and removed, also check for parastic shell boring worms, inspect the shell closely for small holes..... hth,,,,, ps.,,, get the calcium up....

I use both on my 60. So far I havnt had a problem with the Rio on the skimmer probobly because I clean it regualarly. As far as the Emperor goes, the bio wheels will eventualy cotribute to nitrate build up, if it has been in use for any length of time, I suggest removing one wheel at a time, two...

I beat it by the addition of a DSB and RO/DI..... Before I switched I was going nuts trying to keep that crap out of my tank along with a forest of hair algae... Now I have zero of either but nice growths of macro... Silica and phosphates were the culprets,, HTH

Question, Is it possible to run two 36" 95W VHO bulbs on a Blueline ballest desighed for four 48" 110W bulbs?

My BakPak seems to work well either way,,, I like to keep it clean cuz I havnt yet aquired a taste for the smell of yuck yet.... lol
