  1. Feeding Coral Beauty

My Coral Beauty did not eat for about 2 weeks. It would not even accept live brine. The fish still will not eat some frozen brine, it just spits them back out. But it will eat anything else, Formula One is its favorite. The fish will also eat Formula Two and Flake and Blood Worms. I was...

  5. Noisy Overflow

I was considering buying one of these pumps, then I had a friend overheat his system and kill his fish when he added one and I decided against it. My tank is in the garage which gets hot in the summer, the Velocity pumps suposedly add 3-4 degrees over a standard air cooled pump. I chose the...
  7. New tank pics

Thank you. Well, I got a GREAT deal on the critters and I had a lot of hair algea, so I figured I would risk it. Unfortunately the Blennie is so efficient he has eaten most of the algae. I really hope I don't loose too many of them, as long as the algae keeps growing I should be ok, there is...
  8. New tank pics

Here are some pics of my new tank setup. It has been cycling for two weeks. I just put in 6 Green Chromis' and a Lawnmower Blennie Yesterday. Today I put in Nessarius and Trochus snails along with Scarlet Hermits and two Emerald crabs. Let me know what you think. I know it needs more rock...
  9. Flatworm?

Does any one know what this is? It is clear with two white spots.
  10. setup of an ecosystem

The standard lighting for the larger Ecosystem sumps is (2) 18Watt PC's. Anything comparable to this should do. As for the substrate, Ecosystems recommends a 2" depth. I don't see why you can't add some oolitic sand like Aragonite to make it deeper, but not too much. One of the important...
