I am currently using additives my LFS sold me. I have been testing using the Salifert test kit and can't get my calcium up past 310. And the iodine is just barely registering. The iodine test kit is very hard to read. Any suggestions on alternate products that might work better?

When I rinse carbon before using it, do I have to rinse it until the rinse water is clear or can it be a little smokey?

Don't Nassarius Snails dig in the sand bed? Would that disturb its nutrifying action?
