Sorry to start so much controversy. For all the friendly replies thank you. I think its safe to say I got my answer.

monkeyboy, My tank is not to small for a 2" tang. A 6" and up maybe I dont know thats what I am asking. Just in case you did not get it the first time.

The reason I ask is my LFS has 2" tangs. And I want to know if it is ok to get one and keep it for a year then take it back for a new 2" one.

Is it ok to buy a baby yellow tang for a 37 gallon tank. And trade it in for another baby tang when the first one out grows the tank. Or is that unethical? And if it is ok to do this at what size to I let the fish get before trade in?

Ok I just order my live rock. I will get it in a day. This is for a new tank, so do I just put it in the tank and let it cycle or should I dip the rock in to fresh water for 30sec. to get rid of any bad criters? Thanks

How many clown fish could you put in a FOWLR tank? The tank would be 37 gal. with only x numer of clowns.

Would it be ok to get a small tang. And take him back to shop when he gets bigger? Or would a small tank stunt his normal growth and harm the fish?

What is the right way to clean the sand in a FOWLR tank? Are you suppose to vacuum it? Thanks
