I am running a Blueline 100 external pump. Does anyone have thoughts on whether this pump is adding a lot of extra heat to the tank? If so, are there better external pumps that are QUIET and don't add too much heat?

I am really worried about the salt damaging the light. I have the light about 3-4 inches off the tank. Has anyone had problems. Unfortunately, I can't raise the light higher the way everything is set up.

But I don't think oxygenation is a concern in my system. I have two overflow boxes and a powerful skimmer. Temperature is the big issue.
