I have removed the emperor back to the hospital tank, he has almost completly lost all his color. I am using a product called Rid Ich that was suggested for ich and fungal diseases. Do you think he's to far gone? Is there anything else I should be trying?

I am also noticing some discolorization in my emperor, almost looks blotchy, is this normal when coloring from a juvenille to an adult or does he have something to?
  7. Need Help New Topic!

I have a 180 FOWLR currently, a few Crabs and Snails. I am wondering if I can add copper directly to the tank, I know this is not a good practice, and remove all crabs and snails. After a few weeks do some massive water changes and utiliize NovAqua to remove "toxic metals" to remove the...

My queen angel which I thought maybe just had ich, now has a brown type color grown on it's fins and tail, it almost looks like it's rotting away. I like to the point that it can't swim very well. I have never seen this or ever heard about it before. Can you help me out?
  9. Emperor Angel

LIkes to hide in the rocks the majority of the day and night. He comes out a little bit during the morning hours before the lights come on, but seems to be very shy. I don't remember him being this shy at the fs. I am not having any luck finding any information on behavior of this fish, can...
  10. ICH???

I read that article, thank you btw, but the fish were kept in a low copper based hospital tank for 3 weeks before being introduced to the display tank, how do we explain the parasites then? was the copper not a high enough dosage maybe?

I just recently added a queen angel and Emperor angel.. I just noticed tonight a small white spot on the queen and a few on the emperor and of course, a few more on the Flame. these spots were not there yesterday and nothing has changed in the tank. Is it possible the fish are stressing each...

I used southdown sand and the tank has been up for almost a year now with the sand bed. Because of the current in the water the water at times seems cloudy with small sand particles floating around, is this normal? and can you get rid of it?
  14. queen and emperor

Well, they both went in today. So far so good they look healthy, except there does seem to be a little bit of fighting, will they stop or do they need to be seperated??
  15. queen and emperor

thanks Jim, That was the plan was to add them at the same time. They are both juvenilles and about an inch bigger than the flame. My plan is a 500 gallon when I build my new house next summer so I think i've got time for them to grow and then geta new home.
