These are maxijet brand powerheads... they stay stuck on for about 5 hours total... then just fall .. Anyone use any kind of adhesive or anything?

I repeatedly keep having the suction cups that hold my powerheads in place in my tank come loose. The powerheads then fall into positions that mess up my tank blowing sand all around and blasting my corals that dont like to be blasted. Does anyone have any kind of trick that works?

If your tank is a glass tank you could have coraline algae that deep on the glass. The sides of a glass tank can send light that deep just like a fiber optic cable.

I hope its not dangerous... I got one just like it but a little bigger.

How are you keeping them well fed? When I feed my tank the star comes out and actively tries to get its share of food but I dont ever see it get much food. Do you directly feed your stars every day? If so .. what are you feeding them and how much?

I have lost 3 of my fish over a 4 week period. First it was my Anthias ... looked fine in the evening and the next morning it was under an overhang with my serpent star and various hermits feeding on its remains. Same thing happened with my Coral Beauty the week later. Two weeks have gone by...

The coral is definately dyed... There is blue and red dye on 2 different ones. The color is so unnatural that there is no way it is the color of the skeleton.

Does anyone have any recomendations on a way to treat the dyed piece... Is there a method that can be used to cure it?

The seaclone skimmer that I have has had the center cyclone tube cut down so that it is only an inch high... now there is lots of contact with the water for the bubbles. My initial idea was to skim perhaps one day a week. About half way betwen my water changes. I do 6 gallons of water changes...

If you had to pick just one book and one book only on reef tanks what book would that be? Something that would be good for someone somewhat new to the hobby as well as for someone more advanced\experienced. What is the one and only, far and away the best, would rather have than any other, book...

I was wondering... is it safe to use black lighting for viewing the tank at night? This is not something that I would want to leave on everynight but for once in a while fun?
