I vacume sand bed and bast every wc. I will try the tooth brush... saving for skimmer any recommendation for a 28 nano?

Ok thanks i will change it with the next WC. However doesnt the jar say it can last up to 6 or 8 months....

Havent changed the pure chem yet... its been in there for maybe 2 months. I will try a 10% water change every week. No skimmer, sponges are in but i rinse and change them when needed. I feed twice a day pellets and once a week frozen, only what they eat.
