Probably the most important thing to remember when dripping kalk is to watch your pH. Adding too much too quickly can/will spike your pH. The rate that alot of people use is a drop a second. I know of some people who use a shotglass. Every time they walk by the tank they add a shotglass full...

Norm, I agree with taikonaut. Borrow a TDS from someone to check you output. Let the new filters run for about 1 hour and check the TDS. Mine is always around 0 - 1 ppm until the filters start to get depletetd. Answer is in your mailbox. :) Carl

I built a moon light made out of 10 LED light hooked to a dimable power supply. I used the 6000 mcd LED's and use a X-10 module to dim it. My ACII also has the moon cycle but I do not use it either. Total cost for light my entire 110 was under 50 bucks. Thanks to Playfair for the design. Carl

Hi, There is a company that sells replacement filter cartridges on e-bay. I think it was 50 bucks for four sets of filters. PM me and I'll shoot you his store name. Personally, I use the replacements from the same company I bought my 5 stage 100 gpd filter from- Air Water & Ice out of Florida...

Yup Salifert is the only test kits I use. Never had a problwm with them and very accuarte. IMHO (hehehe had to stick that one in there too)FWIW Carl

Yup, I would have to agree with ReefAnn. My RO/DI filter is now 2 years old and have had nothing but good luck with it. Recommend it to anyone. Prices are that bad either.... Replacement filters are I think $50 for the sets. I replace mine about every 6 months or so... Carl
