Yep, I read that post too. There are problems with the belt material, though I hear Jody is working on some improvements that should be implemented soon. And I for one too know that its going to take a bit of time to get the bugs worked out to keep warrenty issues to a minimum. But my point is...
I have to agree with Dizzy, a place like Central Pet or Royal Pet and Supplies isnt going to be selling products to places like Petco or other large chains. Large chains buy direct from the maufacturers in most cases.
Ill even have to add something here. The design impellar cannot be partitioned off with a protective sleeve either like egg crate or acrylic with tons of holes drilled out, or even a net/mesh material as the "effect" of the unit is completely eliminated and you have what is in effect a power...
Already have seen the 1. unit. Never said it was a tight stream directly. But directly in fron of the impeller its still has a hard flow pattern. Yes it does disperse as it goes out farther. But as for natural goes. To myself the wave2k is much, much closer to "natural". It doesnt just push...
www.wave2k.com Its the real deal. Properly spread out natural back and forth motion across the tank. Both top and bottom, no spots where current is unrealistic so to speak, like directly in front of a ph etc.
For the money the Wave2k is the better way to go.Much more natural back and forth movement, both top and bottom, and most important, no exposed impeller. No way would I want an exposed impeller in any tank of mine. Just another expensive form of a power head in my book.
Yeah, they are a good skimmer for sure. May want to look at a Euro-reef too. Just as good(if not better considering it pulls the same amount of waste out using a fraction of the energy)as any beckett, being much more efficient doing the same job. If energy is a consideration may want to account...
I would love for someone to show me a post where an anemone is hard to keep after following these simple rules:
1. Proper lighting
2. Proper circluation
3. proper water conditions
Its not too hard to get the right lighting for them.
BUt of all the posts I have read where an anemone...
