I had coraline grow on the stems but not on the tops, and they did fine. Actually, the colony has tripled in size since I noticed the CA growing on a few stems. Not that this had anyting to do with the sudden growth or anything. Just my thoughts :)

I would mix as needed. You would have to adjust the sg anyway due to evaporation. You would be better off storing your ro water in a 32 gallon rubber trash barrel with a lid. Rig your unit to drain directly into the barrel for best results. You would need an automatic shutoff though. HTH

I have had a pair of Percs for about 11 months. They have adopted a Bubbletip anemone as thier host, but on occaision, I have watched them lying around in a colony of mushrooms. I would say that most corals would be safe for them. Keep doing what you have been...read, read, read. Goodluck

when adding new sand into tank, i use a piece of 2" pvc, and pour sand down the tube. This does not let all the sand powder foat all over the place and lets you "target" specific areas where you need to add more sand.

I usually get a slight rash where my arm scrapes on the plastic rim of the tank. clears up pretty quick though.

I would not use a ph to mix. you should mix gently.
