thanks but this site refers to tanks that has overflow boxes. My don't I would rather no use the portable ones. Any other options?

I need help deciding how to drill my acrylic tank. Should i drill at bottom of tank or should i do drain and return both on the back? Is there any adv or disadv? i just want a quiet operation. i didn't mention my tank does not have any overflows.

I just purchased a seaclear system 2 acrylic tank i was wondering is there a way to remove the back chambers? The dept of the tank is 18" w/o (wet/Dry) chamber but it's only 12" with the (wet/dry). I need as much space as possible.
