Thanks for your input, but I'm looking for the specific width of coverage that these reflectors produce at various heights above the water. It expands as the lamps are moved farther from the water. I believe they say for a 24" coverage the height is supposed to be 2". I'm just not sure this...
I would suggest you eliminate the Fluval. You got the Southdown because it is calcium carbonate AND bacause it has the best mix of particle sizes. Running the Fluval eliminates those small particle sizes that you want. Live with the cloudiness. It will clear up. Patience.

I am building a hood for a 48" tank, and have gotten the parabolic reflectors from hellolights.com. They do not give any information regarding height above the tank. Could someone who has the SpiderLight tell me how high they recommend the reflector be set for a 24" coverage? Is the number...
