using r/o water, have 30-40 hermits, snails, redlegs,conchs, col sea slugs, you name it i have it in there but they can't keep up, I am about to dump it and sale the whole mess

I have been fighting this green monter for months, have two skimmers running, weekly changes, and 1800gph water current not counting the return line from the sump. 2-175 mh 15k lights for 10 hours nitrates are all most 0 nitrites are almost 0 only 4 fish and the rest corals 100 lbs live rock

I took 3/4" rigid conduit, use 3/4" condiut anchors, put a gradual bend in it until I got the correct angle. fastened the conduit to a stud in the wall . ran my wires thru the conduit to the ballast. used a 1/2" eye bolt on the end and fastened two pieces of black chain to hold my pendent...

Ok another dumb question :) If I set one up, sand substrate, some live rock (cured) where does all this good stuff come from? I can set up a te gallon tank beside my 80 and siphon directly from my big tank into the 10 and pump it back to the 80?

Like a dummy I ordered two! I left em on at least 3 moths per their tech's "used in nice terms". After 3 mths NOTHING. sent them back for a full refund as they stated. They credited my CC in 24 hrs back the full amount plus shipping. So thats all I can say good about it....

my blub split last week! It looked as if it was croaking! Looked like it was dieing, I almost tossed it.... All of a sudden while watching it I witnessed a split across the middle ! It was awesome, it split two times in one day. I now have 3 bulb's and whats wild is they seperated for about 3...

OK here is a dumb question..... Just what purpose other then a place to grow pod and alge for a refugium?

I have an 80 gallon with lots of live rock and caves, have both a 6 line and possum in it, they get along fine. the possum is more shy then the 6 line, he only comes out during feeding. otherwise they get along fine

I use salifert and only salifert !!!!

Hey thanks, good reading ! I just about whipped my algea problem and figured what the heck add some color now, added a possum and a peritia frag. I have one small section of my 80 that has a minor algea growth, going to ass 10 hermits and 10 turbos friday . Added a spray bar for more water...

just courious as to how it does with reef and other fish?

Can bottled water from say crystal springs or gulligan be used for water changes. I have well water and a high phospate count I think, it smells like sulphur. I live on the coast of SC. I cann't afford a ro di unit here at christmas, hence the idea of bottled water.
