    I hope your LFS is using a Hanna Checker or something better for phosphates. Otherwise those API, Salifert, or seachem always give me a zero reading while the Hanna gives me a 0.2ppm.... Your current Alk and CA readings shouldn't present a problem as severe as what you are showing in your pics.

    You need a Hanna low level phosphate checker to confirm your phosphate readings.

    Does the pump even rotate on manual mode? I would just get another doser pump on hand so you don't think much about it during your trip.

    Yes, you should consider dosing since your SPS and clam will consume the Alk and Ca for growth. Unless you do enough water changes to compensate for the loss or adding kalk. B-Ionic is still on the market and they are more expensive. I've been using the BRS 2 part (and Mg). If you don't mind...
