  1. Recirculating becket skimmer ???

Recirculating beckett skimmer is nothing new..a while back at RC someone posted a MTC skimmer that was custom made for a company. It was awsome. IMO the best way to go. I personaly think that a recrulating modle would add contact time and can be more effective. I cant find the thread now...
  2. 250 Gallons Flooded on floor - help asap...seams broke

I have found that the best thing to do with a old used tank that does have split seems is to grab a razor blade and stip all the silicone off and redo it all. If silicon splits like that it might have been lift empty too long and what happends is the silicone becomes dry and looses adhesion...
  3. Calcium Reactor or Kalkwaser Reactor or Both.... :?: :?:

A calcium reactor will add calcium to your system and does a pretty nice job of keepthing them up once dialed in. If you plan on haveing a lot of sps or any high demanding corals i would get a calcium reactor first. A kalkreactor does the same but adds calcium through your replacement water...

  5. Are anthias really that hard to keep?

I would love to ass Anthias to my but man they must be fed quite a bit. The hardest thing to do is to get them to eat, once you are over that hill its smooth sailing. As for schooling i have never seen them school in a small tank. Paul

  7. Mounting SeaSwirls on EuroBracing?

Have the manufacture drill the holes, usually about 20 bucks a hole. I would then just go to HD and pick up some 3M double sided tap.." 5lb" tape. Packaging will state so. Then double side tape the ss on. I have had mines like that for over a year and had no problems. Paul
  8. Damn Wind! Power's out and I'm hurting!

King Jason, I feel you man. Last night when the winds started i got some surges..and some major minor **** offs. I couldnt really sleep because my system really runs at night. I was worried about all kinds of things that could happen. I sure hope i do see a black out for more than 30 min...
  9. Anyone use a Korallin CO2 reactor?

I use Korralin and its the best construction i ever seen. 10. Pics of my new 190g plumbing!

A few faults with the AM. They will begin to leak at the seal. They will Stall for no good reason and also and the one problem i really hate they will not restart. I think they are great pumps but for the wattage and gph they put out i cant find anything out there that is any better but for a...
  11. Pink-tail trigger in a reef...

Jason, Nice tank but looks like you are heading for some trouble. I have a similar set up and too bad i havent met you sooner. Using AMK for a return has been nothing but trouble for a me and a few of my close friends. Amk for a close loop will never be a real issue but as a return..? I...

  15. * CLS On Large Glass Tank? Help me with some input on this!

You wont have to worry about weaking the glass once you drill it for CLS the only issues are chips around the hole once drilled but rarely have i seen a tank crack from that but have. If you are setting up a 200g glass tank i would have it drilled by the maker before you get it. Its a pain...
